The College of Engineering at the University of Babylon participated in an online workshop with engineering colleges across Iraq under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The workshop discussed the Bologna Project, aimed at elevating the standards of colleges and universities globally. The Bologna Process, to be implemented across all universities, was emphasized for its potential to connect graduates to the job market and update curricula. The workshop also focused on preparations and resources needed to adopt this educational path, aligning with international practices, particularly in European universities.

Preparing an advanced software system for postgraduate studies
The University of Babylon has developed an advanced software system for streamlining postgraduate studies. This system prioritizes information security, speed of operation, data accuracy, and sharing capabilities at various levels. The university presented this system to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's Research and Development Department to explore its potential adoption for postgraduate applications in Iraqi universities. The system, supervised directly by the university's president, Professor Qahtan Hadi Al-Jubouri, covers stages ranging from data entry to result announcements. Key features include robust information security, efficient processing, and precise data handling, allowing sharing of information among prospective postgraduate students, authorized university officials, and faculty assistants. Given its successful application period, the Research and Development Department expressed interest in discussing the system's adoption across Iraqi universities. Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Hamoudi, the Director of the Computer Center, highlighted the center's pivotal role in providing technical support and essential infrastructure for learning, research, and innovation at the university. The center enables secure and effective technology access for students, faculty, and staff, aligning with the university's vision in technology and innovation. The postgraduate system was developed by Dr. Hassan Halim Hassan, who leads the Website Development Section at the Electronic Computer Center.
